Overview

While at The New York Times, one of our team's core principles was our commitment to exploring the emotions and perceptions of our users to determine what motivates them to engage. By tapping into these innate psychological needs, we hoped to build experiences that were more personal, meaningful and memorable.

To convey these principles, as well as clarify our team’s mission, values and goals, we created a Strategic Framework. These illustrations accompanied hypothetical scenarios in the appendix of the document to demonstrate how our principles could be put into practice.
